The death of a loved one is always a difficult event to endure.  When death is the result of someone’s negligence, North Carolina law provides a legal action on behalf of the individual that is referred to as a Wrongful Death action.  A wrongful death claim provides monetary compensation for many factors such as the cost of burial and the cost of medical treatment that was provided to try and save his or her life.  North Carolina also recognizes that the loss of a loved one’s companionship has a value which should also be recoverable.

Wrongful Death

Stiles Law, LLC understands that no amount of money will bring back a loved one. We also understand that his or her passing is an event that must be mourned.  It is our job to prove how important the lost family member is to the party that is responsible for the death of your loved one.  We have represented many families during such a sad period in their lives. Each situation is different; therefore, we go to great lengths to make sure that the responsible party truly grasps the magnitude of negligence and is held accountable for what they have done.

We have represented families who lost a loved one in a car accident, as a result of medical negligence, and numerous other tragic events. North Carolina provides a shorter period of time to bring a wrongful death action; therefore, time is critical.  It takes time to prepare for and bring a claim that truly represents what the loss of a loved one was like.  If your family has been faced with such a tragedy, we strongly recommend that you contact us as soon as possible.
